Lola Dozier; 91 was born February 5th, 1918 in Sweezy Lake, Louisiana to the late Deacon Henry and Mother Bitty Prather; she was one of fourteen siblings.
She was married to Elder John Gay (deceased) for 27 years; and in 1963 she married George Dozier, who proceeded her in death.
Mother Dozier lived in the same neighborhood for 43 years, where she owned 2 homes and 3 lots.
Mother Dozier received Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and until she decided to move her membership to Redemption Church of God In Christ in 2005; where her son-in law serves as Pastor. Mother Dozier served faithfully until her death; even in failing health, she attended church.
Mother Dozier was wonderful co-worker, neighbor and friend. She served as a mission worker, treasurer, and choir member; and has a God given talent of keeping financial records. No task was ever too great or too small for her to assist with. Mother Dozier is one of Kansas City's role models; and has always enjoyed the latest fashions. Her favorite color is yellow; her favorite flowers are Chrysanthemums. She loved to play basketball; go fishing; crafts.
Mother Dozier is a Godly favored faithful servant, and she is to this day, in her family's eyes and those who knew her well; the sweetest, most beautiful, youngest looking 91 year and 362 day old mother.
An unconditionally loving parent anyone could ever hope for.
